what is the most painless way to remove a skin tag without having to buy a kit or see a doctor?

i have two skin tags and i was hoping there were some like home remedies to get rid of them any ideas? easy ten points!

My GP said to tie some cotton thread around the skin tag which cuts off the blood supply to the tag and after a few days they will drop off,hope this helps
